North West First Responder Group – July 2026 Update

We're delighted to share the latest edition of the North West First Responder Group Newsletter, showcasing another month of supporting our communities through emergency response, education and community resilience.

This month's edition celebrates the installation of a new 24/7 Public Access Defibrillator at Tanskys Bistro in West Kirby, made possible thanks to the generous support of Ørsted, GrantScape, BHP Services and Tanskys Bistro. You'll also hear from our Chief Operating Officer, Robin Gerrard, on why expanding access to lifesaving equipment remains one of our charity's key priorities.

Elsewhere, we look back at our visit to Woodfall Primary School in Neston, where we delivered CPR and first aid awareness to pupils, supported North West Ambulance Service in training new Community First Responders at Limelight in Manchester, and launched our new monthly CPD webinar programme for Community First Responders and Student Paramedics.

The newsletter also welcomes Darius to our Senior Leadership Team as Head of People & Volunteer Services, shares our latest operational statistics—including 190 emergency incidents attended and 831 volunteer response hours—and highlights the events and projects coming up over the next few months.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and the incredible support of our partners, funders and local communities. Thank you for being part of our journey as we continue working together to save lives and strengthen communities.
