February 2026 Newsletter

North West First Responder Group – February 2026 Update

Our February newsletter showcases the impact North West First Responder Group continues to make across our communities. In January alone, our volunteers attended 158 incidents, responding to both Category 1 and 2 emergencies and often arriving before an ambulance to provide vital early care.

This edition highlights several key developments, including the installation of a new community defibrillator in Ashton Hayes, expanded CPR and AED awareness sessions with community groups and schools, and a new partnership with A Good Thing, helping reduce waste while supporting local charities.

We also celebrate the launch of our Lifesaver Lottery, a new way for supporters to help fund emergency response, training, and lifesaving equipment, as well as sharing details of upcoming community events across the region.

Finally, the newsletter marks an important milestone with our expansion into Carlisle, welcoming new Community First Responders and support volunteers, and reinforcing our commitment to working alongside partners to save lives and strengthen communities.
