March 2026 Newsletter – Growing, Responding & Saving Lives

North West First Responder Group – March 2026 Update

Our March 2026 Newsletter highlights another impactful month for North West First Responder Group.

In February alone, our volunteers attended 121 incidents, including 33 Category 1 calls, arriving before an ambulance on 85 occasions and dedicating 347 hours to emergency response. Alongside this, we delivered CPR & AED awareness sessions across the region, installed a new public access defibrillator at Ellesmere Port Sea Cadets, and attended Merseyside Ambulance Awareness Day.

We’re also proud to officially welcome Chester Community First Responders into the charity, strengthening our regional footprint and enhancing community based emergency response across the North West.

This edition also introduces our new “Heroes for Heroes” Day launching in April, celebrates a £5,000 grant award supporting new defibrillators and QCPR training equipment, and shares ways you can get involved, from volunteering and fundraising to joining our Lifesaver Lottery.

Together, we continue working to save lives and strengthen communities, one heartbeat at a time.
