North West First Responder Group – April 2026 Update

Our April 2026 Newsletter highlights another impactful month for North West First Responder Group.

March was another busy and impactful month for North West First Responder Group.

Our volunteers attended 181 incidents, including 58 Category 1 emergencies, giving 478 hours of their time to support patients across our communities. In 126 cases, we arrived before an ambulance, delivering critical early care when it mattered most.

Alongside emergency response, we continued delivering CPR & AED awareness sessions, including sessions in Carlisle helping local staff build the confidence to act in a cardiac emergency.

We were proud to engage with the community at events like the Wirral Egg Run, and to support initiatives such as She Inspires, empowering young people with life-saving skills and confidence.

Thanks to funding from the Wirral Together Fund, we’ll be delivering even more CPR & AED awareness sessions in our communities.

We also continue to support national initiatives like the ResusReady campaign, encouraging more people to step forward and be ready to act in an emergency.

As we grow, we’re always looking for more volunteers and fundraisers to join our mission—helping us save lives and strengthen communities across the North West.
